Harvest 2017 has begun

Glanced at the elderberries when I got home and realized I had neglected them.  Many had ripened and fallen off, maybe half on the front yard bush.  But others were not ripe yet, so I gathered what I could and froze them, awaiting further processing.

Since I had started, I picked all the Aronia from the 2 bushes in the front yard, and some from the 10 in the back yard.  Got 5 gallons (picked about 3 gallons during the Permaculture Convergence at Troy Gardens, with the help of 3 of the attendees)

Mosquitoes finally drove me in.  Time for supper anyway.  More soon!
