Wassailing the trees

No pics for this, it was too cold and too dark.  I poured 36 oz of pear cider into a brass temple bowl, blessed it, and took it out with a dipper to libate and thank the trees and shrubs at HedgeCroft.  It is -14F (-26C) out, and they are sleeping, but I trust they can and will respond in the Spring.  Wassail is old English for ‘be you healthy’, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wassail and I am finishing off two bottles of cider myself as i write this post.
